One Year in Print

Two years ago I setup a screenprinting studio in my apartment here in Bristol in the UK. I had recently been to a printed ephemera sale and had been introduced to the idea of a make-ready, where printers use the same sheets when setting up different jobs. This creates a haphazard layering, a record of recent jobs. I liked the idea as I had inadvertently done if myself while screenprinting in the studios at my university.

The Girl Project

The Girl Project
For my Publication Design class (taught by Cecilia Dean, Greg Foley, and Donald Hearn from Visionaire/V Magazine) we were given the assignment to design a book for The Girl Project. The Girl Project is “a national collection of photographs taken by teenage girls. The photographs represent teenage girlhood and life as seen through the eyes of young women in America.”

My group consisted of myself, Christopher McLaughlin, and Min You. We decided to design two books: a standard and a “dream” edition.
